When we cook regionally, we do it honestly and the way we used to. Recipes from the family, from neighbours and from our friends. How people cook elsewhere and what other cultures serve up is Chef Markus’ challenge. Surprises and inspirations from all over the world drive him. His culinary ideas come to him spontaneously when he buys fresh ingredients at the market. That’s why, in addition to classic South Tyrolean Schlutzkrapfen and a Thai peanut curry, he sometimes serves langoustines. We never put the brakes on Markus. On the contrary. We are always damn curious about his creations on the plate.

With us, much is still “old”. Retained, original and therefore unexcited. We like that. That’s how we cook. What we bring to the plate is a combination of traditional home and what we have collected from all over the world. Whether rooted or brought to the Pustertal from somewhere else: the dishes on the menu are also suitable for the mountains. Whether for breakfast, a snack in between meals or a festive evening by candlelight. And of course also to take away for your day out.
